Matsushima Suzuki RacingRace Team
The team, which was started in 2003, is owned by Grant and Kelly Matsushima. Grant has been working in the racing circuit since 1997, when he started with HyperCycle and worked with Nicky Hayden and Jason Pridmore.
Grant then went on to work at Yoshimura Suzuki for 2 years, working with Steve Rapp and Jason Pridmore.
He then moved on to Bruce Transportation Group, where he worked with Roger Hayden and Josh Hayes.
Grant then moved on to Attack Performance, where he once again worked with Jason Pridmore and young gun Ben Spies.
The team continued to race under the Matsushima Performance Racing banner for the following year, and brought Danny Eslick on board. For the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Matsushima Performance Racing worked with Danny Eslick and Blake Young. |









After that, Grant opened his own shop. That year he worked with Chris 'Opie' Caylor. The following year, he started out working as team crew chief with Empire Racing, and ended up taking over the team, starting Matsushima Performance Racing, working with Opie Caylor and Lee Acree.
